The American and Canadian government, as well as other governments abroad, have certain requirements or standards which need to be adhered to on their online properties in order to facilitate effective communication with the majority of their web users.
The CLF 2.0 standard, or Common Look and Feel, is the Canadian government’s standard for how its websites should look and behave. On the same note, web pages and online software tools which are section 508 compliant are recognized by the United States Government for being accessible to individuals with disabilities.
We are very pleased to announce that ReviewRoom can now adhere to the CLF standard and is section 508 compliant. We have already begun to roll-out this update to applicable customers. Throughout this process, ReviewRoom has also been upgraded for compliance with W3C and WCAG level 2 standards.
This means that ReviewRoom will now be a more viable tool for the United States and Canadian governments, and will be more accessible to alternative methods of web browsing.

Today we’re going to revisit an existing feature of ReviewRoom, which is controlling the visibility of your tasks.
By default, every type of user (reviewers, applicants and recommenders) can see every task that is applicable to them. Task visibility lets you remove visibility for a given task for a given type of user. Let’s see exactly how this is done!
STEP 1: To begin, let’s navigate to the Visibility settings for a particular task. Under the design menu, click on Design Competition:
STEP 2: Now choose a task whose visibility settings you want to modify, and click on it:
STEP 3: Click on the Visibility tab, which is located at the far right:
STEP 4: And voila, we’re in the right spot to talk about task visibility options now!
To Eliminate Some Confusion…
You will notice that, by default, none of the user types are highlighted/selected in the list. This indicates that everyone has the potential to see this particular task. If you want to remove visibility for a certain user type, you must click on it to select it, and then press the “Save Task” button (not shown in picture).or take a tour
